Charity Partner
Since 1978, the Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund (GERF) has funded emergency resources like food and shelter for Gippslanders impacted by natural disaster.
Our region’s landscape is beautiful, but volatile — which is why the dedicated volunteers at GERF manage a (really) rainy day fund, ready for helping neighbours in need.
When natural disaster strikes, your generous donations are distributed to eligible Gippslanders for emergency resources. From basics like food, shelter and clothing, to keeping livestock safe or education resources for kids — your donation is a welcome relief for a Gippslander in crisis.
VTG is proud to partner with GERF for the 2023 Victorian Teachers' Games.
Please consider making a small donation to this worthwhile cause.

Community Partner
The Australian Education Union (AEU) Victoria has continued its ongoing support of the Victorian Teachers’ Games (VTG), extending its long affiliation with an event that brings together thousands of teachers across the state.
AEU Victoria consists of nearly 50,000 diverse and multi-talented members, including principals, education support staff and teachers working in public schools, early childhood, TAFE, AMES and disability services.
As a community partner, the AEU will be on-site at VTG Central (Gippsland Regional Indoor Sports Stadium) throughout the first three days of VTG2023, and will be present at a variety of activities and events. We would love for all members and non-members to come over and say hello!
The AEU has been a committed partner of the VTG event for the best part of three decades, including its contribution to the 1996 event – the first ever instalment of the Games. VTG are thrilled to have AEU continue its support and celebrate the occasion with one of its foundation partners.
‘We are once again thrilled to have the support of AEU at VTG in 2023 in Latrobe City. Their support for teachers across the state is second to none’ Victorian Teachers’ Games Manager, Adam Drinkwell said.
‘To have an organisation like the AEU – whose values embody a shared vision of unity – continue their support of our event showcases their strong commitment to the development of health and wellbeing of our teachers at VTG’.
Justin Mullaly, AEU Victoria Branch Deputy President:
‘Since the first Victorian Teachers’ Games was held in 1996, the AEU has supported the VTG and is proud to be partnering with the VTG again in 2023. The VTG provides an opportunity for thousands of teachers, education support staff, assistant principals, and principals to have fun and enjoy each other’s company as they participate in a range of sports activities and other events.’.
